Frequency band: distinguish series coverage from a single device
The filter series collectively covers 30MHz–40GHz; no single chip is implied to cover the entire range continuously. Choose a specific model by target signal frequency range, bandwidth and tuning method, then check the corresponding device description.
Typical values: also check frequency, bandwidth and configuration
Typical parameters such as insertion loss vary with frequency, bandwidth, and configuration. For example, the 7dB typical insertion loss of SYRF8818HL applies at 25% fractional bandwidth; it is not a guaranteed value for every operating state without that condition.
Nominal Frequency Range: Check Against the Electrical Characteristics
The SYRF8119 selection table uses a nominal range of 1–3GHz, while the original datasheet electrical characteristics table specifies 1–2.85GHz. SYRF8913 uses a nominal range of 6–12GHz, while its original electrical characteristics table specifies 6.5–12.3GHz. Review the relevant technical conditions when defining specific system limits.
Compatibility: distinguish benchmark references from pin compatibility
Comparison references support product selection and do not imply Pin-to-Pin compatibility. Compatibility statements for SYRF8052, SYRF8513 and SYRF8526 are limited to the package and primary functional pins; some functions and pin functions differ. Replacement selection still requires checking the package, supply, control, electrical specifications and application conditions.
Devices & IP: check implementation format and interface conditions
The product catalog includes both IC devices and SerDes IP. When selecting IP, also check the process, implementation, interface, and delivery conditions. A public product overview is not a complete integration or delivery specification.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I select ICs for an application?
Confirm the required function first, then provide the signal frequency band, bandwidth, supply, interface, package space, and key system specifications. Find the relevant model and published specifications in the product catalog, and contact the technical team to review specific integration requirements.
Can Filter Power-Consumption Values Be Applied to RF Switches and Attenuators?
No. Power consumption <1mW in the selection table applies only to the listed filters. It must not be applied to RF switches, digital step attenuators or other product categories.
Why must operating conditions be retained when comparing products?
The same typical value may refer to different frequencies, bandwidths or configurations. Compare data under identical or explicitly comparable conditions first, then confirm package, control method and system operating limits.
How do I request detailed technical documentation?
Use the Contact Us page or company email to specify the model, company or project background, application area, and required documentation. The website provides public product overviews, selection specifications, and essential technical notes. Full datasheets and internal source materials are provided following discussion of project requirements.
Do the Application Block Diagrams on These Pages Represent Complete Reference Designs?
Application-page block diagrams illustrate signal chain functions; they are not validated complete reference circuits. Specific device combinations, system implementations and performance require review and validation under actual design conditions.
